Turn left and follow North Bend Rd. to the top of the hill (about 1-1/2 miles). St. Xavier High School is on the right and Keating Natatorium is behind the school.

Positive Check-in Events & Procedure:

The following Events: require Positive Check-in; swim fast to slow; and may swim women & men combined.

All Friday events; Sunday 1000

Check-in opens 15 minutes before Session warm up and closes 60 minutes before the session start time unless otherwise noted. Swimmers not checked in will not be seeded. Positive Check-In is located in the hallway just inside the main entrance. Please see Clerk volunteers for any help needed!

These events MAY be limited to manage the timeline. Limits determination will be made upon review of the timeline and will be announced when the psych sheet is posted, no later than Wednesday before the meet.

Deck Entry:Will be accepted only if the meet is not closed, and at the discretion of Meet Management. A deck entry fee of $10.00 per individual event, as well as the $5.00 OH LSC swimmer surcharge, is payable upon sign-up at the clerk.

Clerk of Course: 8 & Under events, Sunday Session ONLY.

Awards:Ribbons 1^st-8^th for age groups.

General Admission Charge: Adults: $5.00/day, Children under 10: Free Heat Sheets: $3.00

Facility Info: Keating is an 8 lane 50 meter pool with a removable bulkhead in place to make two 25 yard pools. Seating is limited and conducted on first come first serve basis. Swimmers bags are not permitted in the spectator seating.

ELIGIBILITY

• The Ohio Senior Circuit meet is open to all swimmers who meet the following criteria:
  • - High school athletes, 14 years old and older, who are in or beyond their freshman year and have competed in a high school swim meet during that academic year;
  • - Collegiate or Masters athletes

ENTRY RULES: INDIVIDUAL EVENTS

Swimmers may swim a maximum of three individual events per day.

Swimmers may enter a maximum of 6 (six) Individual Events for the meet.

ENTRY FEES

Individual Events - $8.00 per entry.

Surcharge - $2.00 per swimmer (Travel Fund/Site Fund)

• Single preliminary sessions for all swimmers on Friday and Saturday with a final session in those evenings consisting of Bonus D (14-16-year olds), Bonus C, Consolation and Championship heats for all events except those which are marked as timed final events. (Swum in the order C, B, A, D). Sunday will consist of a single timed final session in the morning.
• The D Bonus final will only be contested for events 200 yards and under. The D Bonus final is limited to 14-16 year olds who did not qualify for the A, B or C final. Nine (9) lanes will be used for all heats in preliminaries and morning timed final events.
• Nine (9) lanes will be used for finals/consolation/bonus heats and timed final events swum in the evening.
• Nine (9) lanes will be used for all heats in prelim sessions.
• The meet host reserves the right to use two pools during prelims on any or all days based upon the number of entries to manage the timeline. If two pools are used, even heats will be in one pool and odd heats will be in the other.
• A timeline will be posted in several prominent places; however, timelines are approximate.

Scratch and Positive Check-In Procedures:

- A swimmer who officially scratches from an individual event prior to the scratch deadline shall not have that scratched event count towards their maximum number of events for the meet or for that day.

- The scratch deadline for Preliminary Events and Timed Final Events will be at 8:00 am on the day that individual event or relay is contesting the event as described in the meet information.

- Athletes entered in the 500 Free, 400 IM, and 1650 Free are asked, as a courtesy to other competitors, to scratch out for these events by the 8:00 am deadline. The 1650 may require positive check-in, as determined by the meet host. If positive check-in is required, it will be communicated to coaches / entry chairs in an email prior to the meet.

- Any swimmer not appearing for a preliminary heat or a timed final event shall not be penalized; however, that event will still be counted against their 6 event maximum for the meet and their 3 event per day maximum.

Scratching from Finals:

Any swimmer listed as an original qualifier, qualifying for a bonus, consolation or championship final in an individual event who fails to compete in said final shall be barred from his/her next individual event, except as noted in ‘Exception for Failure to Compete’ below. A declared false start under 101.1.3F or deliberate delay of meet under 101.1.5 is not permitted and will be regarded as a failure to compete. In order to remain eligible for subsequent sessions, the swimmer must declare their intention to swim with the Admin Referee prior to completion of the current session.

In the event of withdrawal or barring of a swimmer from competition the Referee shall fill the bonus, consolation or championship final, when possible, with the next qualified swimmer(s). First and second alternates shall be announced along with the final qualifiers. The alternates shall not be penalized if unavailable to compete in the finals.

Where bonus or consolation finals have not been swum and a barred or withdrawn swimmer is known to the Referee, the Referee shall reseed the bonus, consolation and championship final, if necessary, to insert the alternate(s) in the appropriate lane(s), filling all lanes in the final.

If the consolation final has already been contested, the championship final shall be swum without reseeding for the empty lanes(s).

Failure to scratch consolation or championship finals according to the rules above shall result in a $50.00 penalty fee per event against the swimmer if the event is his/her last event of the meet.

2019 Regional Championships (Age 14 & under)

PRELIM/FINALS

Entries:

Entry Limits: Swimmers may enter a maximum of 7 (seven) Individual Events plus Relays.

Swimmers may swim a maximum of three individual events per day, plus Relays (including time trials).

The 10 & under events will be contested during prelims as timed finals with the top two (2) seeded heats being contested in finals..

Fees:

Individual Events - $6.00 per entry

Surcharge - $2.00 per swimmer (Travel Fund/Site Selection Fund)

Format:

Except for the Relays and events designated as Timed Finals Events in the Order of Events on page 4, the meet will be conducted in a Preliminary-Finals format with a Championship (A) and a Consolation (B) heat at Finals. The B Final will swim before the A Final. Alternates should be ready to swim in the B Finals and identify themselves to the referee.

The 13-14 1650Y Freestyle event will be Timed Finals with the fastest heat swimming at Finals. The preliminary sessions of these events will swim fastest to slowest; alternating between women and men.

All 400Y and over Individual Timed Final events will be swum fastest to slowest in the Preliminary session.

Athletes will swim Timed Final Events as seeded by entry time.

Relays are timed finals and only the top heat will swim at night on Day 2. Relays on Day 3 are all contested in Prelims.

The 13-14 1650Y Freestyle and 11-12 400Y IM will be contested as the last event at Prelims on Day 3, with the 11-12 400Y IM and 13-14 1650Y Freestyle as first and second events at Day 3 Finals, respectively.

The 11-12 200Y Breast, Back and Fly will be Timed Finals with the fastest heat at Finals. The preliminary sessions of these events will swim slowest to fastest.

Fly-over starts will be used in preliminary session events at the discretion of the Meet Referee, in consultation with the meet committee.

Scratch Procedures:

A swimmer who officially scratches from an individual event shall not have that event count towards their maximum number of events for the meet or for that day.

The scratch deadline for Preliminary Events and Timed Final Events will be 30 minutes prior to the start of the session where the individual or relay is contesting the event.

Any swimmer listed as an original qualifier, qualifying for a consolation or championship final in an individual event who fails to compete in said final shall be barred from his/her next individual event.

Failure to scratch consolation or championship finals according to the rules above shall result in a $50.00 penalty fee per event against the swimmer if the event is his/her last event of the meet.

Awards:

• Individual Events - Medals will be awarded to all place winners in the “A” final (championship). Ribbons will be awarded to all place winners in the “B” final (consolation).
• Relay Events - Medals will be awarded to the top 3 relay places. Ribbons will be awarded to 4-8 places.
